Optimizing hydraulic fracturing treatment in real time by incorporating continuous uniformity index measurement
Breakout Track 1
Location

Speakers
-
Des Murphy - Business Development Technology Manager, Northeast Area
Summary
Understanding the flow distribution of a hydraulic fracturing treatment is critical in optimizing the completion design, but has traditionally only able to be done in real-time utilizing costly permanent fiber installations that increase operational complexity and limit the completion design, or by measurements weeks after the operation has been concluded with wireline interventions. This presentation will discuss a new technology that incorporates thousands of stages of historical fiber data and marries that to an advanced machine learning model incorporating real-time completion measurements to provide the uniformity index of the treatment in real-time, with no restrictions or changes required to the completion schedule and no additional equipment required.
