NEW ALBANY—The Ohio Oil & Gas Association (OOGA) named Jack Miller as the recipient of the 2022 Oilfield Patriot Award. The award was presented at the New Albany Country Club during the Association’s Summer Meeting.

The Oilfield Patriot Award recognizes an individual who has made significant contributions to protect, promote and advance the common interests of those engaged in all aspects of the Ohio crude oil and natural gas industry.

Jack is the president of Ken Miller Supply, Inc., a company his father founded in 1959. Today, the company has six locations throughout the Appalachian Basin. For over 50 years, it has been providing tubular goods and production equipment and support equipment for producers, drilling and pipeline contractors and utility companies.

“Jack Miller has been an institution within Ohio’s oil and gas industry for decades,” said Rob Brundrett, President of the Ohio Oil & Gas Association. “He embodies exactly the kind of person who is deserving of this award, and I want to thank him for the dedication and timeless wisdom that he has provided during his many years of involvement with our organization.”

Jack has been a member of the OOGA Board of Trustees for more than 30 years and was inducted into the Ohio Oil & Gas Hall of Fame in 2018. In a tribute video, several family members, work colleagues and OOGA trustees highlighted Jack’s work ethic, integrity, attention to detail, generosity and sense of humor as being his strongest characteristics.

Founded in 1947, OOGA is a statewide trade association, today serving about 1,300 members, including both small, independent conventional producers and large independent horizontal operators exploring Ohio’s shale play. The membership also consists of midstream companies, large-scale transmission line companies, contractors, oilfield service and supply providers, manufacturers, gas utilities and various other professional entities.
