STEPHANIE KROMER HIRED AS DIRECTOR OF LEGISLATIVE & REGULATORY AFFAIRS AT OHIO OIL & GAS ASSOCIATION
COLUMBUS—Ohio Oil & Gas Association President Rob Brundrett today announced the hiring of Stephanie Kromer as OOGA’s Director of Legislative & Regulatory Affairs.
In this role, Stephanie will manage regulatory and technical matters between the Association and key agencies, such as the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency. She will serve as the Association’s main point of contact between OOGA’s diverse membership and these agencies on all regulatory issues impacting the industry.
“I am excited to welcome Stephanie to our team here at OOGA,” said OOGA President Rob Brundrett. “Stephanie’s background in state government and specifically on energy and environmental issues make her a great fit for our organization. She will be a tremendous asset when it comes to working with our members and state agencies to ensure a fair, competitive regulatory environment for our industry.”
Prior to joining OOGA, Kromer worked at the Ohio Chamber of Commerce since 2017, where she served as the Director of External Relations and eventually the Director of Energy & Environmental Policy. She also previously served as a legislative aide to State Representative Andy Thompson in the Ohio House of Representatives, a project manager at King Strategic Strategies and a legislative assistant for the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB).
“I look forward to this new opportunity to represent OOGA’s membership on important issues facing the industry,” Kromer said. “Ohio has a proud history when it comes to energy production, particularly natural gas and oil, and I am excited to become a part of it.”
Founded in 1947, OOGA is a statewide trade association, today serving about 1,300 members, including both small, independent conventional producers and large independent horizontal operators exploring Ohio’s shale play. The membership also consists of midstream companies, large-scale transmission line companies, contractors, oilfield service and supply providers, manufacturers, gas utilities and various other professional entities.
