In this presentation, OOGA's Director of Legislative & Regulatory Affairs Stephanie Kromer will provide an overview of major legislation that was debated and passed by the Ohio General Assembly during the first half of 2025. Namely, it will outline key details of the biennial state operating budget and how it will impact the oil and natural gas industry.

Stephanie Kromer serves as OOGA’s Director of Legislative & Regulatory Affairs.

In this role, Stephanie advocates for Ohio’s oil and gas industry at the Ohio General Assembly and relevant state and federal agencies. She also manages regulatory and technical matters between the Association and key agencies.

Prior to joining OOGA in 2022, Stephanie worked at the Ohio Chamber of Commerce, where she served as the Director of External Relations and eventually the Director of Energy & Environmental Policy. She also previously served as a legislative aide to State Representative Andy Thompson in the Ohio House of Representatives, a project manager at King Strategic Strategies and a legislative assistant for the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB).

Stephanie is an alumnus of Ashland University where she graduated as an Ashbrook Scholar. She lives in Gahanna with her husband Zebulon and her son Griffin.
